Tookey Creek Sire Profiles

Tookey Creek Ute TC 6733

Ute is by the great Kelly Wallah Gandalf out of a lovely Hardigreen Park female and was retained for use within our herd.  He has a slick, dark coat and is scur poll.  His progeny are showing terrific muscling.  He stood 3rd at the Brisbane Royal 24-30 month class behind Glenn Oaks Farmhand. His temperament is excellent.  A Ute heifer topped the female sale at Santa Central in 2008 selling to the Lewis family for $4,500.

Tookey Creek 6924

TC692 was retained for his sire appeal, smoothness, thickness and neatness of sheath.  He is a very correct bull with an excellent nature displaying very good muscle.  He is later maturing and has been used with both stud and commercial cows.  His dam, Capricorn A313, was a show cow winning a red ribbon in a large class at Sydney Royal.  She was still producing calves at 15 years of age.  His calves would add both elevation and length in a breeding program.

Kelly Wallah Gustavus

Purchased at Santa Central Sale in 2006 for $9,000.  Gus is a dark, polled bull with an outstanding carcass.  His huge muscle content and great mobility are outstanding for such a big bull.  Gus has an exceptional and can be scratched in the paddock - his calves display the same placid nature.  The pregnancy rates of his cows have returned 93% (2006), 96% (2007), 94% (2008) and an amazing 100% (2009) pregnancy rates so far.

Tookey Creek Past Sires

Rosevale V646 (P)

Purchased in 2001 for $13,000. He is a moderate framed, is well muscled and has a neat sheath. A very quiet temperament has been passed on to his progeny.  V646 has been a very successful sire, and in the last 3 years we have sold 15 of his bulls for an average of $5,833.  This included 2 outstanding bulls selling for $13,000 and $20,000.  We have retained a quality line of females by Rosevale V646 in our breeding herd.  This year's Santa Central Sale will see the last of his sons to be sold.

GBL 447

GBL 447 was purchased and was used for one season with a select group of cows.  He is a well muscled bull with a tidy sheath.  He is a bull that shows great breed characteristics and has passed these traits on to his calves.

Valley View York (P)

Purchased at Big 'S' sale in 2004.  He is a strong poll with high muscle content and a very neat sheath.  He is an earlier maturing bull with a moderate frame and we are retaining a line a of feminine polled females by him.  A line of his sons sold recently averaging $3,500.  A York bull would be a great asset to produce well muscled, structurally sound polled stud animals or quality calves for the domestic trade.

SuJo Fame

Fame was purchased at the 2006 Santa Central Sale for $12,500.  He was heavily muscled, polled with a great sheath.  Fame produced some lovely females for the stud, and his last progeny are selling this year.
