Kamawa

Kamawa Stud was established in 1989 at the Wauchope property in North Coast NSW of Geoff Butler, Mary and family on their return from New Guinea , where they had owned a Plantation, Trading and Cattle  business for the previous 20years. Kamawa is the native name of the plantation house site.

We have a hardy coastal bred herd with good fertility - 95% calving rates - docile temperament and good muscle and calving ease from our Rosevale sires including the top muscled sire Rosevale Chieftain T73 whose sons now work in the herd.

Our cattle are exposed to ticks, buffalo fly and other coastal parasites and diseases from birth and have some immunity to these.

Due to this demanding environment our bulls have been exhibiting above average constitution and doing ability in both the inland and coastal herds we have been selling them into.

We aim to provide thick, muscly, fertile bulls with a top docile temperament.
